With the zeal to support the endeavour of democratizing solar energy technology, powering homes with solar energy is one of the key strategies of AVINA VENTURES management.
We have successfully delivered rooftop solar solutions for residential customers across Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. We have witnessed how solar energy has helped Indian households improve their standard of living by enabling them to use high-consumption electrical appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and other household appliances. This would not have been possible for many households without subsidies provided by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) under the Central Government and various state government subsidy schemes.
In addition, through the PM Surya Ghar portal, we have been able to facilitate loans at an interest rate of 6% per annum for our customers. This is particularly relevant for low-capacity solar systems, with the Government's objective of bringing greater prosperity and access to clean energy for low- and middle-income families.
Solar energy has also helped improve the return on investment (ROI) for Indian households, with returns ranging from approximately 15% to 35%. The AVINA team works closely with government entities, including electricity boards and PSU banks, to deliver highly cost-effective solar solutions for residential customers.
We strongly believe that India is one of the best places in the world to adopt solar energy for homes. This is because most regions of the country receive abundant sunshine for approximately 300 days a year.
With the increasing electrification of household consumption, including electric vehicles and appliances such as induction cooktops, adopting rooftop solar can be a wise investment for homes with sufficient space to install solar panels. Given India's dependence on crude oil imports, combining rooftop solar with the increasing use of electrical appliances can contribute to greater long-term economic benefits for Indian households.
